In the coming year, Russian citizens will have five four-day and one three-day working weeks. This was announced on Wednesday, January 28, by RANEPA expert Tatiana Podolskaya.

"In 2026, five four-day working weeks are planned: at the end of February, in the second week of March, at the end of April, in the second week of May and in the second week of June. At the end of the year, another three—day working week is expected from December 28 to December 30," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The expert added that the designated periods can have a beneficial effect on discovering additional opportunities necessary for effective vacation planning and analysis of tasks awaiting at the workplace.

On January 15, Podolsk reminded those Russians who work on a five-day schedule that six-day working weeks are not expected for them in 2026. According to her, last year, Russian citizens worked one six-day working week, which was formed due to the postponement of the weekend from Saturday, November 1, to Monday.
