On January 27, Natalia Eismont, the press secretary of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, commented on Ukrainian media reports about Kiev's alleged plans to open a criminal case against the Belarusian leader.

"This is a discovery for us. We don't know anything about such alleged discussions and intentions, but <...> we don't care much about it," RIA Novosti quoted Eismont as saying.
