Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) plans to carry out a large-scale modernization of the enterprise in the next two years. Alexey Russian, the governor of the Ulyanovsk region, told about this in his Telegram channel on January 27, who visited the site of the automaker.

He said that in 2026-2027, UAZ plans to launch the production of safety system components, a pressing line for stamping bodies, seat production and a paint complex, as well as welding parts for the Sollers line of pickups and SUVs (one of them has already been launched). In addition, production of the new Sollers S9 SUV is scheduled to start at the site this year.

In the next two years, Sollers plans to invest more than 12 billion rubles in the development of UAZ. The Ulyanovsk governor promised to provide assistance in the implementation of the investment program.
