A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. As a result of the active offensive actions of the units of the Zapad group of forces, the Kupyansk-Uzlovoy settlement of the Kharkiv region was liberated. The manpower and equipment of four mechanized, airmobile, two assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the air defense brigade and two National Guard brigades were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Kovsharovka, Nechvolodovka, Novoosinovo, Senkovo of the Kharkiv region and Krasny Liman of the DPR. The enemy's losses amounted to more than 210 military personnel, four armored combat vehicles, 27 vehicles and two Western-made artillery pieces. The US-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar and three ammunition depots were destroyed.

"The units of the Southern Group of Forces have improved their position along the front line. Formations of three mechanized, airmobile, assault and mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Druzhkovka, Konstantinovka, Kramatorsk, Novodmitrovka, Reznikovka and Slavyansk of the Donetsk People's Republic. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 120 soldiers, four armored combat vehicles, 19 vehicles and six field artillery pieces," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Units of the North group of forces defeated formations of a mechanized brigade, an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and two air defense brigades in the areas of the settlements of Rzhanoe, Sadki, Sosnovka and Khoten in the Sumy region. In the Kharkov direction, units of the mechanized, motorized infantry brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Volchansk Farms, Zybino, Proletarskoye and Chugunovka of the Kharkiv region. The enemy lost over 170 soldiers, 14 vehicles and three field artillery pieces. The US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar, four ammunition and materiel depots were destroyed.

The units of the Center group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. The manpower and equipment of seven mechanized, jaeger, airmobile, amphibious assault brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a defense brigade and two National Guard brigades were defeated. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to over 415 military personnel, a tank, eight armored combat vehicles, 16 vehicles, three field artillery guns and a US-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar.

The units of the Vostok group of forces have advanced into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Formations of two mechanized, two assault brigades and three assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated. The enemy lost more than 390 soldiers, eight armored combat vehicles and 21 vehicles.

As a result of decisive actions, units of the Dnepr group of forces liberated the village of Novoyakovlevka, Zaporizhia region. The manpower and equipment of the mechanized, mountain assault brigades and the coastal defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated. Up to 40 military personnel, nine vehicles, an artillery piece, four electronic warfare stations and a fuel depot were destroyed.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated energy infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, storage and preparation sites for the launch of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 154 areas. Air defense systems shot down 11 US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, a S-200 anti-aircraft guided missile converted for hitting ground targets, and 105 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 111,231 UAVs, 646 anti-aircraft missile systems, 27,349 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,651 multiple rocket launchers, 32,877 field artillery and mortars, 52,956 units of special military vehicles.
