Energy supply to consumers in the Murmansk region has been restored after damage to power transmission lines due to adverse weather conditions. This was announced on January 27 by the Russian Ministry of Energy.

"Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the specialists of PJSC ROSSETI North-West, the first stage of emergency recovery operations has now been completed. The previously imposed restrictions have been lifted," the Telegram channel said.

The Agency continues to coordinate the work of electric power companies and regional authorities to ensure reliable and uninterrupted energy supply in the region.

On January 26, the Governor of the Murmansk Region, Andrey Chibis, said that all key facilities and strategic enterprises in the region are provided with electricity. He also noted the need to increase investments in network infrastructure after the incident with the collapse of the power transmission line in the region.

The day before, on January 25, he spoke about the introduction of an emergency regime in the region due to the protracted nature of the accident in the power system. It was clarified that for the residents of the region, the introduction of this regime would not entail changes in their daily lives.

At the same time, the mayor of Murmansk, Ivan Lebedev, said on January 24 that due to the blackout, street aid stations began to open in the city, where you can charge electronic devices and get groceries. As a result, interactive maps were prepared for Murmansk residents, on which the addresses of heating points, field kitchens and places for charging phones were marked.
