Primorye will purchase 48 million rubles worth of special equipment for the fire season

Before the start of the fire season, Primorsky Krai received over 48 million rubles for the purchase of special equipment. The funds were allocated from the federal budget as part of the national Environmental Well-being project.

The purchase is necessary to strengthen the material and technical base of the Primorsky Airbase. The money will be spent on the purchase of four pieces of equipment — two passenger cars for the rapid transfer of crews, a bulldozer to create mineralized lanes and a tractor with a semi-trailer. The Ministry of Forestry, Environmental Protection, Wildlife and Natural Resources emphasized that firefighting is based on an integrated approach. The work involves ground forces, aviation, coordination with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, forestry and law enforcement agencies. Large-scale exercises are being conducted to work out the coherence of the units.

The new equipment will be put into operation in 2026.
