Tampa Bay Lightning beat Utah Mammoth 2-0 in NHL match

The Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Club defeated the Utah Mammoth in the home match of the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season. The meeting took place on January 27 and ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of the ice masters.

Darren Raddish and Anthony Cirelli scored the goals. Two assists were scored by Russian striker Nikita Kucherov, who is the team's top scorer with 80 points (26 goals and 54 assists) and ranks third in the league's list of snipers. Tampa goalkeeper Andrey Vasilevsky blocked all 28 shots on his own goal, becoming the first star of the meeting.

For the goalkeeper, this shutout was the second of the season and the 42nd of his career in the regular NHL championships. The victory was also his 354th in the league, which allowed him to beat another Russian goalkeeper, Evgeny Nabokov. Among Russians, only Florida player Sergei Bobrovsky has more wins (449).

Tampa leads the Atlantic Division table with 70 points, while Utah is in fourth position in the Central Division with 58 points.

Earlier in the day, the New York Rangers defeated HC Boston Bruins with a score of 4:3. Matthew Robertson scored the winning goal in extra time. New York's Russian striker Artemi Panarin scored an assist. Will Kaillie, J.T. Miller and William Borgen also scored for the Rangers.
