Ukrainian counterintelligence officer Sergei Mykhailov surrendered in the Zaporozhye region. This was reported on January 27 by TASS with reference to a prisoner of war.

According to Mykhailov, he joined the intelligence service in 2014, and was captured as part of the first separate assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
