A 17-year-old resident of Kuzbass was sentenced for treason and attempted terrorist act.

A minor resident of the Kemerovo region (Kuzbass) Last May, he tried to commit sabotage near the Prokopyevsk railway station of the West Siberian Railway. Currently, he has been convicted of treason and attempted terrorist acts. This was announced on January 27 by the press service of the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.

"The Deputy West Siberian Transport Prosecutor has approved the indictment in a criminal case against a 17-year–old resident of the Kemerovo region - Kuzbass. He is charged under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 205 ("Attempted terrorist act"), Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason")," the statement said, which was published on the Telegram channel of the department.

In the video attached to the publication, the teenager, who illustrated the prepared materials for committing an illegal act, said that he had received this proposal from a representative of an unnamed foreign state. He was supposed to be paid for the work, but he was unable to complete the order, as the planned actions were stopped by law enforcement officers.

In the Kemerovo region on January 22, FSB officers detained a Russian who was preparing a terrorist attack on the railway.
