A 45-year-old man was detained in Vladivostok for distributing narcotic substances. This was announced on January 26 by the press service of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Primorsky Territory.
"The result of the operational work was the detention of a 45-year-old resident of the Far Eastern capital. Previously, Primorets was repeatedly brought to criminal responsibility. <...> According to an expert study, the substance seized from the man is a narcotic drug — heroin," the message on the Telegram channel says.
It clarifies that a criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues, as well as illegal sale or transfer of plants containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, or their parts containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances"). The man faces a sentence of imprisonment from four to eight years.
On January 26, the press service of the regional department of the Federal Security Service (UFSB) reported that a man had been detained in the Kaluga Region for justifying and promoting terrorist activities of one of the Ukrainian organizations banned in Russia. It was noted that the detainee had posted statements on social networks justifying the terrorist activities of the paramilitary group of Ukraine banned in Russia.
