If personal data is leaked as a result of hacking, you should promptly change passwords, block cards and contact the police. This was announced on January 26 in the Department for the organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies (UBK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia together with the portal "Explain.rf".

"If you believe that intruders have obtained unauthorized access to your data, changed, blocked it, or used the information to steal money from you, contact the police," the agency's Telegram channel says.

The cyber police recalled the importance of using unique and complex passwords, as well as enabling two-factor authentication. It is noted that when hacking digital services, it is important to warn relatives and relatives about what happened.

On January 20, the UBK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation announced the "Trusted Contact" function on Gosuslugi: it will help protect the accounts of the elderly from fraudsters. For example, if you need to restore the password, the confirmation code will be sent to the trusted person's phone. It is important that the assistant himself will not get access to the user's personal account and will not be able to perform any actions in it.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
