Three people were injured in an accident involving three cars. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow region on Monday, January 26.

"According to preliminary information, a man driving a Toyota car collided with a taxi car that stopped in the boarding area of public transport passengers. As a result of the impact, the taxi hit a pedestrian, and the Toyota continued to move and collided with a minibus," the Moscow City News agency quoted the message.

A pedestrian, a taxi driver and one of the minibus passengers sought medical help.

Traffic police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the accident, writes RIAMO.

Earlier in the day, the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate announced a preventive raid on a pedestrian crossing. The event will take place tomorrow, January 27. During the raid, in order to increase pedestrian safety and prevent accidents involving them, traffic inspectors will check compliance with traffic regulations by both pedestrians and drivers, Moscow 24 reports.

Over the past weekend, 301 road accidents were recorded on Russian roads, in which 33 people were killed and 391 injured. 21 of the victims were the driver and passenger. This was reported to Izvestia on January 26 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
