The teacher criticized the idea of banning ready-made answers to school assignments
Honored Teacher of Russia, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education Evgeny Yamburg said that banning GDZ will not help solve the problem of cheating and reducing motivation to study.
In an interview with Radio 1 on Monday, January 26, the expert expressed the opinion that banning ready-made solutions in education is initially ineffective, since it is impossible to completely restrict access to information on the Internet, messengers, VPNs and neural networks. In his opinion, artificial intelligence has already changed the rules of the game: it is enough for schoolchildren to ask a question to get an answer, so such initiatives become obsolete even before implementation.
Yamburg noted that AI has become a working tool not only for students, but also for teachers, and it is important to take this reality into account. He also emphasizes that cheating does not always mean a lack of assimilation of the material: preparing cheat sheets uses memory and often helps to better remember the topic even at the preparation stage.
The expert is confident that the key role in learning still belongs to the teacher, who can use even ready-made answers as an excuse for discussion and development of thinking. According to him, education should focus on developing critical thinking, the ability to analyze and work with AI, and not on attempts to prohibit access to information.
Earlier on January 26, the press service of Roskomnadzor reported that the decision on the possible blocking of websites with ready-made homework would be made by the authorized authority competent in the field of education, the website writes kp.ru .
On the same day, Anton Gorelkin, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, said that the Ministry of Education's initiative to pre-trial block websites with ready answers to school assignments and exams seemed excessive and fraught with negative consequences. According to him, it can lead schoolchildren to the darknet and to scammers. He added that school cheat sheets should not be put on a par with destructive information, writes NSN.
Earlier, the Ministry of Education reported that they had prepared a bill to block websites with ready-made homework from textbooks and manuals. At the same time, we are not talking about a complete ban on auxiliary materials — it is planned to restrict access to individual resources, according to 360.ru . In particular, the draft law provides for a ban on the dissemination of information about the control and measuring materials of the Unified State Exam and OGE and ready-made solutions to the tasks of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren, RT notes.
