The new Foton Tunland G9 pickup truck will appear in Russia

The presentation of the new Foton Tunland G9 pickup truck in Russia will take place in February. This is stated in the message of the MB RUS distributor company, which was received by Izvestia on January 26.

It is stated that the pickup truck should be of interest to both outdoor enthusiasts and various organizations and enterprises, including construction companies, repair crews, hunting and fishing farms, rapid response services and others.

The frame Foton Tunland G9 has a gross weight of 2980 kg and a load capacity of 905 kg. It is equipped with a two-liter turbodiesel engine with a capacity of 162 hp, which is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The drive is full, the ground clearance is 210 mm.

Currently, the Foton pickup line in the Russian market includes three models of the Tunland line — G7, V7 and V9. The last two were introduced in Russia in March last year.

In two years, unmanned vehicles are planned to be released on all highways of the country.

Earlier, on January 22, JAC announced that it plans to launch a new JS9 SUV on the Russian market in the II–III quarter of 2026. JAC noted that it was developed specifically for the Russian market. The company also shared that they are exploring the prospects of launching sales of another new product this year.
