Sevastopol has achieved a 5% year-on-year increase in meat production
In Sevastopol, by the end of 2025, meat production increased by almost 5% compared to 2024. It reached 400 tons.
According to the SevastioilMedia news agency, with reference to the regional government, farms of all categories contain 890 heads of cattle and 14.5 thousand birds.
According to Natalia Skoryukova, director of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Market, since 2020, Sevastopol has allocated about 27.5 million rubles to support animal husbandry. Thanks to this, farmers compensated for the costs of wages, feed, veterinary services and electricity.
In Sevastopol, four farms form the main volume of production, and poultry farming is the industry leader.
Earlier, on January 23, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during his visit to the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology that Russia had become a leader in many areas of agriculture.
At the same time, he stressed that there is still a lot of work to be done to achieve absolute independence in a number of important areas.
Separately, the Russian leader dwelled on the topic of genetics, noting that, according to some experts, this field can have enormous consequences for all mankind. In this regard, the country should not lag behind in the development of this area.
