The symptoms of infection with the new Indian Nipah virus are very similar to the usual SARS, and therefore it is possible to detect a real infection only through medical tests. This was announced on January 26 by Galina Companets, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Fundamental Medicine at the School of Medicine and Life Sciences.

"There are no symptoms typical only for this disease. It will proceed in the same way as any viral infection," the RIA Novosti expert said.

She explained that if there is an odor in the human body, a headache may occur, body temperature may rise, and cough and sore throat may also occur.
