301 road accidents occurred in Russia over the weekend

Over the past weekend, 301 road accidents were recorded on Russian roads, in which 33 people were killed and 391 injured. 21 of the dead were drivers and passengers. This was reported to Izvestia on January 26 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

In addition, over the weekend, 26 bus accidents were recorded on the roads of the Russian Federation, in which two people died, and 34 more road users, including three children, needed medical help. The reason for 10 incidents were traffic violations committed by their drivers.

The State Traffic Inspectorate recommended that bus drivers correctly assess their dimensions and speed, weather conditions, visibility, condition and width of the roadway, terrain and the possibility of skidding on a slippery winter road.
