Experts spoke about the use of aluminum solutions at social facilities in Moscow
In the capital, aluminum solutions have become more actively used in the overhaul of social facilities, said Alexander Lobanov, director of work with government facilities at the Kaft construction company.
So, when working in Buyanov and Filatov hospitals, it was decided to use hinged aluminum facades. Previously, aluminum facades were used in about half of all polyclinics during reconstruction under the program of the Moscow government in 2020-2024. Within its framework, 350 metropolitan polyclinics underwent major repairs.
"Polyclinics are relatively small, mostly serial facilities. Hospitals are much larger and more complex, for example, more than 17,000 square meters of facades will be repaired at Buyanov Hospital," Lobanov said. According to him, the use of aluminum solutions makes it possible to carry out construction all year round.
The positive experience gained during the renovation of polyclinics led to the further use of aluminum in such complex facilities as hospitals, said Marat Zhikharev, project manager of the Aluminum Association.
"The most economical at the investment stage of the capital renovation of the facility is the "wet" facade. But the "wet" facade loses its appearance after a year or two, requires constant renovation and frequent major repairs. Taking into account the life cycle of the facility, a hinged aluminum facade will become more profitable after 7-10 years of operation. Moscow as a traditional innovation leader in the program "This is the first time that My polyclinic has applied a modern life—cycle efficiency assessment approach on such a scale," said Evgeny Vasiliev, Director of Aluminum Consumption Development at Rusal.
