The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate announced a preventive raid "Pedestrian crossing". The event will take place tomorrow, January 27, the agency announced in its Telegram channel.
During the raid, in order to increase pedestrian safety and prevent accidents involving them, traffic inspectors will check compliance with traffic regulations by both pedestrians and drivers.
The traffic police of Moscow noted that, according to the results of an analysis of the state of accidents, it is hitting a pedestrian that is one of the predominant types of road accidents.
At the end of last week, the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate held a three-day preventive event "Drunk driver".
On January 23, it was reported that Moscow had broken its own historical record for road safety. The number of deaths in road accidents per 100,000 population (the social risk level) decreased by the end of 2025 to 2.22 units, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for transport.
