Global Firepower has put Russia in second place in terms of military power

Russia remained in second place in the world in terms of military power in the annual ranking of the most powerful armies in the world. This was reported by the Global Firepower (GF) portal.

At the same time, Ukraine is ranked 20th in the annual ranking of the most powerful armies in the world. It is noted that about 60 different indicators were taken into account when compiling the index.

The rating methodology analyzes the size of the armed forces and the volume of military equipment, as well as economic parameters, demographic situation, logistical capabilities of states and the level of defense spending. The leaders of the list, as in previous years, were the United States, Russia and China.

In the Global Firepower rating, Ukraine was ahead of, in particular, Egypt, Brazil, Indonesia, Iran, as well as Germany and Spain. At the same time, the number of armed forces of a number of these countries is noticeably lower than that of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
