In Chernihiv region, the Russian military destroyed up to a platoon of personnel of the regiment of unmanned systems "Achilles" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on January 26 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"In the Chernihiv region, hangars with attack UAVs of the 429th separate brigade of the Achilles unmanned systems were destroyed. Destroyed <...> up to a platoon of personnel," the source told TASS.

According to the agency, the Russian Armed Forces used the Iskander-M tactical missile system during the strike. Other losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces include five trucks and two pickups.

The day before, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Russian Armed Forces had attacked an energy infrastructure facility in Ukraine that supports the activities of the military-industrial complex. The ministry clarified that the Russian army also eliminated the storage and launch sites of drones, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian militants and foreign mercenaries in 159 districts.
