Six militants of the Azov special forces brigade (recognized in Russia as a terrorist organization) surrendered near Dimitrov. This was announced on January 26 by the commander of the surrendered named Daniel.

"We kept rolling away and away from Dimitrov and found ourselves surrounded," Daniel said in an interview with TASS.
