In the west of Moscow, two men born in 1956 and 1958 died as a result of a fire in an apartment building on Moldavskaya Street. This was announced on January 26 by the press service of the Moscow prosecutor's office in the Telegram channel.

"The preliminary cause of the fire is careless handling of fire. Exact conclusions will be drawn based on the results of the fire technical expertise," the statement said.

It is noted that the progress and results of the procedural check on the fact of the fire are under the control of the Kuntsevo interdistrict prosecutor's office.

Earlier that day, a source from Izvestia reported the death of one person in a fire in an apartment on Moldavskaya Street in Moscow. The source of the fire was on the second floor. The residents of the apartment building were evacuated, and a bus was called for heating.
