The first Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Moscow, Gong Ro Myung, passed away at the age of 94. This was reported on December 26 by the Yonhap News Agency.

Ghosn is best known for his key role in the negotiations that led to the establishment of diplomatic relations between South Korea and the Soviet Union in September 1990.
