Medvedev announced the monitoring of US actions on the extension of the START Treaty
The United States has until February 5 to decide whether to extend the Strategic Offensive Arms Reduction Treaty (START Treaty). This was announced on January 26 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper.
"First of all, we need to wait for February 5 and see if the United States will have at least some meaningful reaction to the Russian initiative. Theoretically, if you look at the calendar, there are still small chances for positive decisions," Medvedev said.
He added that Russia is closely monitoring Washington's actions and is ready for any developments.
