The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on Student's Day (Tatiana's Day), advised students to focus on their studies and not try to take on everything at once.
"Please do your job — study, this is very important," Zakharova stressed during the All—Russian action "United Students of Russia Day" at the Rossiya National Center, noting that the student years are a unique period when society and the state provide an opportunity to focus on gaining knowledge.
She drew attention to the fact that the desire to simultaneously study, work, engage in creativity and volunteerism can lead to overload and difficulties in mastering individual disciplines. According to her, sometimes it makes sense to cope with the main educational tasks first, and only then expand the scope of their activities.
Zakharova also stressed that in life, studies almost always have to be combined with work or family responsibilities, while being a student is a rare time that allows you to give priority to education. At the same time, she acknowledged that everyone's life circumstances are different and some students have to work part-time or help their families.
In addition, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised not to succumb to pressure from others, who may devalue efforts or inspire insecurity. According to her, it is important to remember that such difficulties are temporary and should not interfere with personal development.
Zakharova also urged students to maintain self-confidence, go their own way and use the energy accumulated during their studies for future self-realization.
Sergei Mironov, a State Duma deputy and head of A Just Russia, announced on January 23 that the scholarship for full-time students could be increased to 18.9 thousand rubles. It was clarified that the increase in the scholarship would improve the system of social support for Russian students.
