Austria pointed to the problem of self-deception and empty talk in European politics
Politician and blogger, former Austrian presidential candidate Gerald Gross said on January 25 that Europe lives solely on empty talk, self-deception and illusions.
"Nothing (from the actions of US President Donald Trump. — Ed.) is not new. It's just that it's no longer wrapped in tinsel. Europe, on the other hand, lives off tinsel, empty talk and self-deception. The continent is run by functionaries who mistake strength for radicalism and weakness for humanism. The European Union pays billions to create the appearance of a certain position," Gross said.
According to him, Europe spends billions "on wars that cannot be won, but which are presented as morally inevitable."
"Europe is giving everything out of fear that Washington will block the financial flow, but not to us, but to Ukraine. While Brussels is talking about partnership, Trump is negotiating tribute," the politician concluded.
Earlier in the day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that the current poor generation of European politicians is unable to withstand Trump's assertiveness. According to him, the American leader bases his political approaches on the principles of harsh, ruthless business.
