Rospotrebnadzor reported no cases of Nipah virus importation from India

Rospotrebnadzor is monitoring the situation with the spread of the Nipah virus in India. This was reported on January 25 in the press service of the department.

It is specified that at the moment no cases of import of this dangerous disease into the territory of Russia have been registered.

Yesterday, the Metro newspaper reported that Indian health authorities are fighting an outbreak of the Nipah virus, which has "epidemic potential" and has no vaccine or treatment. According to the newspaper, five cases of the disease have been identified in the country.
