The Investigative Committee opened a case on the death of a man at a hunting base in the Saratov region.

Investigative authorities have opened a criminal case into the death of a 37-year-old man shot dead on the territory of a hunting base in the Saratov region. This was announced on January 25 in the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region in the Telegram channel.

According to investigators, on January 23, the suspect, while at a hunting base in the Novoburassky district of the Saratov region, fired a hunting rifle at his friend, who died on the spot from his wounds. At the same time, law enforcement agencies had previously considered a version of an accident related to a snowmobile accident near the village of Bazarny Karabulak.

It is noted that during the inspection, the investigation concluded that there were signs of an intentional crime. The Bazar-Karabulak interdistrict investigative department has opened a criminal case under part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder").

The department added that the suspect was detained. The investigators have appointed the necessary examinations, as well as interrogating witnesses and carrying out other procedural actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

The death of a hunter in the Saratov region became known earlier in the day. Then it was noted that at night two men went hunting in the forest belt of the Novoburassky district on a snowmobile.
