The gunners of the Center group of forces talked about working with the M-46 cannon

On January 25, servicemen of the 268th self-propelled artillery Regiment of the 27th Guards Motorized Rifle Division of the Center group of forces told how they work at the positions of 130-millimeter M-46 cannons in the Red Army area of the special military operation (SVO).

Gunners are working at the strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Fire raids are interrupted only to allow aircraft to pass through, which supports the infantry advance.

"The work is actually very easy, unpretentious. We are actively working, we are actively working on serif. We're hitting the manpower. It happens by technique. There is a lot of work day and night," gunner Sergey Golovin told Izvestia correspondent Dmitry Astrakhan.

According to the gunner, the gunners are working on manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine both day and night.

"Drones with thermal imagers are flying now. Well, of course, if the task comes, then where should we go? <...> We work out and go back to the shelter. <...> We heard sounds and reported to the authorities. They've already accepted her there, and they've been waiting for her to leave. And we work on the target," explained Alexander Ermakov, the commander of the gun.

And why did the M-46 guns, developed back in the USSR, feel confident in their own zone?

The day before, footage of the combat work of the 152-millimeter artillery piece of the 1442nd Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 6th Motorized Rifle Division of the 3rd Army Corps of the Southern Group of Forces was published. According to the commander of the 1st battery of the howitzer division with the call sign Snake, the priority task of the gunners is mainly counter—battery warfare.
