Civilians noted the promptness of the evacuation from Krasnoarmeysk

The evacuation of civilians remaining in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in Krasnoarmeysk is proceeding very quickly and promptly. Local residents who left the city told Izvestia about this on January 25.

"Quickly, very quickly. We came home, checked our documents, and less than half an hour passed," said Andrei, a resident of Krasnoarmeysk.

He said that four people were awaiting evacuation in the city, two of whom were pensioners, including one with a disability.

Assistance to civilians in the evacuation process was provided by Russian military personnel, another resident, Sergei, said.

"They were taken out very quickly, through the military. The car was changed three times, but it was taken out normally," he said.

During the fighting, Sergei's house was badly damaged, as a result of one of the blows, the roof of the building collapsed. Important documents, such as a work record and a passport, were lost under the rubble. All he had left was a photocopy of his passport and birth certificate. In such a situation, Russian military personnel went to meet civilians and accepted any documents with a photo and full name to establish their identity.

"Any kind of identification, so that there is a photo and your last name. There's a photocopy, they took a picture. They're doing some kind of patrol, and we're already saying hello," Sergei said.

On January 23, Izvestia published exclusive footage of the evacuation of civilians from liberated Krasnoarmeysk. The video shows how the column of "loaves" falls under the raid of FPV drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Russian military personnel attempt to shoot down drones with small arms for several minutes, while civilians hurriedly take shelter in a landing near the road. After repelling the attack, the evacuees, along with the soldiers of the Russian Army, return to their cars and continue on the road.
