Mironov called for providing schoolchildren with free meals

On January 25, the leader of the Fair Russia party, Sergei Mironov, called for providing Russian schoolchildren with free meals.

"It is necessary to ensure that there are free hot meals for all schoolchildren," he told TASS.

He added that not all parents can provide their children with normal school lunches, which is why there is a social disparity between students. In his opinion, this is unfair and unacceptable.

Today, free school meals are available to elementary school children, as well as to children with benefits: students with disabilities (HIA) and disabilities, from poor or large families receiving a survivor's pension, children of participants in a special military operation (SVO).
