The deputy reported fraud with applications for motorists
In Russia, there has been an increase in the number of fraudulent schemes in which attackers distribute malicious mobile applications, disguising them as useful services for motorists. This was announced on January 25 by Anton Nemkin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications, federal coordinator of the Digital Russia project of the United Russia party.
"Recently, there has been an increase in fraudulent schemes related to the spread of malicious mobile applications under the guise of "useful" services for motorists - radar detectors, navigators, camera display applications and traffic conditions. The attackers are purposefully playing on the desire of drivers to save money and gain access to such services for free," Nemkin told RIA Novosti.
