Alaska's largest drilling rig, Doyon 26, has collapsed
In the north of Alaska, the largest mobile drilling rig, Doyon 26, fell near the Alpine oil field. This was reported on January 23 by the local newspaper Juneau Independent (JI).
"On Friday afternoon, on the Northern Slope, a 165-foot-high (about 50 m) drilling rig overturned while moving along a gravel road," the publication says.
It is reported that no serious injuries were recorded among the workers after the incident.
After the fall, the installation collapsed on impact with the ground.
