Torpedo beat SKA 6-0 in the KHL match
Nizhny Novgorod Hockey Club Torpedo defeated HC SKA in the FONBET home match of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) Championship. The match ended on January 24 with a score of 6:0.
Strikers Kirill Svishchev and Egor Vinogradov scored doubles for the hosts. Sergei Goncharuk and Vasily Atanasov scored another goal each. Egor Sokolov and Vladimir Tkachev made a significant contribution to the victory. They scored three assists apiece, Sport-Express reports.
Torpedo goalkeeper Denis Kostin played the match without conceding goals, deflecting all 25 shots at his own goal. The goalkeeper was replaced by the guests already in the first period — with the score 0-3, Artemy Pleshkov gave way to Sergey Ivanov.
This victory was the sixth in a row for Torpedo. The club scored 64 points in 49 games and ranks fourth in the Western Conference of the KHL. SKA, with 53 points after 47 games, suffered its fourth defeat in a row and is in eighth position.
Earlier, on January 23rd, HC Lada beat Dynamo Moscow in the FONBET match of the KHL championship. The game ended with a score of 2:1. Defender Vladislav Semin and striker Nikita Setdikov scored goals for HC Lada, while striker Maxim Mamin scored a goal for the Moscow team.
