On January 24, the Russian Ministry of Education prepared draft amendments to the federal law "On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection", which provides for a ban on the distribution of ready-made assignments.

"The bill provides for a ban on the dissemination of information about the control and measuring materials (CMM) of the Unified State Exam/ OGE, ready-made solutions to tasks of the All—Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren and assignments from textbooks and manuals included in the federal list," RIA Novosti agency quoted the agency as saying.

The exception is the answers to the assignments that are contained in the textbooks themselves.

Russian President Vladimir Putin warned about the risks of AI development during the "Results of the Year" on December 19, 2025. According to him, over time, there is a danger that children, teenagers, schoolchildren and students will not think for themselves and look for solutions. The Russian leader called this a difficult task and drew attention to the fact that it would be complicated by the organization of the educational process in educational institutions.
