Regions with the most responsible mortgage payers were named in Russia.

Residents of Kuzbass, the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, and the Arkhangelsk Region are the best at paying off mortgages. This became known on January 24 from the analysis of the data of the Bank of Russia.

The share of bad credit histories in Kuzbass is only 0.09%, in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug — 0.2%, and in the Arkhangelsk Region — 0.41%, according to RIA Novosti.

The top regions with the best mortgage payment rates included the Republics of Buryatia (0.43%) and Chuvashia (0.46%), Magadan and Penza regions (0.49% each), the Republic of Sakha—Yakutia (also 0.49%), the Republic of Mordovia (0.51%) and the Amur Region (0.53%).

Prices on the "primary" and "secondary" markets will continue to rise, and demand will depend on mortgage rates.

Earlier, on January 21, it was reported that the second half of 2025 was a record year for mortgage lending in the secondary housing segment. Experts from Sberbank Domclick noted that secondary loans increased by 215% compared to the first half of the year, and lending volumes consistently exceeded 50 billion rubles per month, peaking in December at about 85 billion rubles.
