U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance will visit Armenia and Azerbaijan in February to continue peace efforts and strengthen strategic partnership. This was announced on January 23 by US President Donald Trump.

"In February, Vice President Vance will visit both countries to continue our peace efforts and promote Trump's course for international peace and prosperity," the president wrote on the Truth Social network.

He also noted that the United States will strengthen cooperation with Azerbaijan and continue the peaceful atom agreement with Armenia, and American manufacturers of semiconductors and defense products will receive new deals.

Earlier, on January 13, it was reported that Washington and Yerevan will create a joint venture TRIPP Development Company to develop transport infrastructure in Armenia. The controlling stake will belong to the United States, and Armenia will retain sovereignty over the sites involved in the project. It is assumed that TRIPP will deal with railways and highways, energy and fiber-optic infrastructure. The term of the agreement is 49 years with the possibility of extension.
