Russia has increased the fine for transporting children without a car seat to 200 thousand rubles. This was announced on January 24 by Evgeny Masharov, a member of the commission of the Public Chamber of Russia (CC RF) for the public examination of draft laws and other regulations.

"Now, for violating the requirements for the transportation of children established by the rules of the road, the fine for the driver will be 5 thousand rubles, for officials — 50 thousand rubles, for legal entities — 200 thousand rubles," RIA Novosti quoted.

Masharov noted that business drivers without forming a legal entity will be administratively liable for this offense as a legal entity, and taxi drivers working as self-employed as officials.

In his opinion, these measures help to curb the actions of drivers who do not use child car seats to transport children.
