Zelensky updated the composition of the Supreme Commander's Headquarters
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree on updating the composition of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters. The former head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk was removed from it. The relevant decree was published on January 23 on the president's website.
According to the document, the Headquarters now includes the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Mikhail Fedorov, and the country's first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Denis Shmygal.
Earlier, on January 6, it was reported that Malyuk's resignation could be related to the corruption scandal at Energoatom. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has revealed a scheme to launder about $100 million, as a result of which charges were brought against seven individuals, including businessman Timur Mindich.
