Forecasters warned of a drop in temperature to -26 degrees in the Moscow region

The night of January 23-24 may become one of the coldest since the beginning of winter in the Moscow region — in some places the temperature will drop to -26 degrees and even lower. This was reported on January 24 by the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia.

"By the end of the day on Friday, the thermometer in some parts of the Moscow region dropped to -26 degrees and even slightly lower," TASS quoted him as saying.

So, in Zaraysk, the thermometer dropped to – 26.4 degrees, and the Silver Ponds weather station recorded a temperature value of exactly – 26 degrees.

At the same time, experts reported that any specific temperature records may not be reached, but the night can rightfully be called one of the coldest this season.
