Ukraine will have to make peace on terms acceptable to Russia. This was reported on January 23 by the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung (BZ).

"In the current situation, a peace agreement with Russia is possible only if Ukraine is ready to make extreme concessions: in fact, to agree to everything...> Russia's demands," the article says.

It is noted that the greatest difficulties for Kiev are internal problems, the difficult situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) at the front, as well as the lack of support from US President Donald Trump. According to the newspaper, Ukraine now has two outcomes: "negative, and the other is even more negative." According to the author of the article, Ukraine will have to refuse to join NATO, make territorial concessions, and accept that no foreign military contingent will be deployed in the country.

BZ also called the negotiations with the participation of the delegations of Russia, Ukraine and the United States in Abu Dhabi key to resolving the conflict. The publication noted that the energy crisis in Ukraine is putting additional pressure on the Ukrainian authorities, which reinforces the need to conclude a peace agreement.

On January 23, Trump said that Ukraine could lose even more territories if it fails to conclude a settlement agreement with Russia. According to the American leader, this will not happen if peace agreements are reached in a timely manner.
