The Chinese Ambassador to Russia noted the uniqueness of Russian-Chinese relations

Sino-Russian relations are at an unprecedented high level and are absolutely unique. This was stated on January 23 by Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui during a speech at a reception for leading Russian media at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China (PRC).

"Currently, Sino-Russian relations are at an unprecedented high level, and these relations are unique. They reflect back-to-back support and shoulder-to-shoulder cooperation," he said.

The diplomat pointed out that the bilateral relations are an example of new international contacts that embody the common expectations of the peoples of Russia and China.

"The achievements in the development of Sino-Russian relations would not have been possible without the joint efforts of the relevant organizations for information affairs of the two countries, as well as without the active help of friends from the media community present here," Hanhui stressed.

According to him, media representatives have always actively covered the relations between the two countries, as well as captured the history of valuable contacts between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. The stories of journalists about the friendship between the peoples of the two countries are especially touching to readers.

As noted by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, this year marks several important dates in the history of relations between Russia and China. Among them are the 25th anniversary of the Treaty on Good—Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of strategic partnership and interaction between the two countries.

"Neither we nor our friends have any doubts, and I think our enemies have no doubts either, that under the wise leadership of our leaders, bilateral relations will continue to move steadily to new heights," the diplomat noted.

The National Media Group (NMG) holding company was awarded a diploma during the ceremony for its contribution to Russian-Chinese friendship and cooperation. The Chinese Ambassador to Russia presented it to Alexey Urazov, Director for International Cooperation at NMG.
