In the Murmansk region, an inspection of the prosecutor's office on the fact of a massive power outage has been organized. Parts of Murmansk, Severomorsk and Safonov were left without supplies.
Residents of Maklakov, Karl Marx, and Starostin streets were the first to report the shutdown. Then it became known about the shutdown in the Leninsky district of Murmansk and Roslyakov. Trolleybus traffic was stopped in some areas, Bi-Port news agency writes.
In addition, reports of accidents were received by the Severomorsk Airport dispatch service.
According to the head of Murmansk, Ivan Lebedev, adverse weather conditions were the cause of the accidents. Electricity has already returned to some homes, but there is still a risk of new accidents.
The prosecutor's office is already conducting an inspection with the involvement of specialists from the regional department of Rostechnadzor. Law enforcement agencies will check whether citizens' rights to receive public services have been violated.
