Revenue of car companies in Russia decreased in 2025

Revenue from sales of new passenger cars in Russia reached 4.18 trillion rubles by the end of 2025. Autostat Info reports about this in its Telegram channel on January 23. According to him, in 2024, the turnover from the sale of passenger cars was noticeably higher — 4.6 trillion rubles.

The most productive month was October, when the monthly turnover increased to 540 billion rubles. The minimum values were recorded in February (231 billion rubles) and March (237 billion rubles) last year.

According to experts, Haval is the leader in the brand ranking in terms of revenue, while Lada came in second place. This is followed by Tenet, BMW, Geely and Mercedes-Benz. Belgee, Toyota, Changan and Jetour rounded out the top ten.

"The largest contribution to the money turnover is made by such models as Tenet T7, Haval Jolion, Lada Granta, Tenet T4, Haval M6, Geely Monjaro, Belgee X50 and Mercedes G-class. There are almost no classic mass-produced models of European brands in the top. The market of expensive crossovers and well—equipped Chinese SUVs has become the main revenue generator," the analysts noted.

Chinese cars are being replaced by Russian models

As it became known on January 14, sales of Chinese-built cars in Russia decreased by 38% in 2025, a total of 489 thousand such cars were sold. At the same time, sales of Russian-built cars in 2025 increased by 8%, while the overall car market declined. So, during the year, 701.7 thousand new cars were sold in the Russian Federation, rolled off Russian assembly lines. Their market share has grown to 52.9%.
