HC Lokomotiv has extended the contract with Shalunov until 2028
Yaroslavl Hockey Club (HC) Lokomotiv has extended the contract with striker Maxim Shalunov until the end of 2028. This was announced on January 23 by the team's press service.
"The striker has signed a new agreement with the Yaroslavl club. The contract is for two more seasons," the club wrote on its Telegram channel.
Shalunov joined Lokomotiv in 2021. Since then, he has consistently demonstrated high performance. In less than five seasons, he scored 185 points. Of these, 104 goals and 81 assists.
A special role in the club's history is associated with Shalunov's golden goal in the Gagarin Cup final. It was he who brought HC Lokomotiv the coveted trophy.
HC Lokomotiv defeated Dinamo Minsk on January 21 in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular season match. The game ended on January 21 with a score of 2:1. Artur Kayumov also scored for Lokomotiv in the 43rd minute. Nikita Pyshkailo also scored a goal for Dynamo in the 43rd minute.
