- Fradkov and Evraev discussed plans for cooperation between the PSB and the Yaroslavl Region in 2026
The first year of PSB's work in the Yaroslavl Region as a new home region was devoted to preparing for the relocation of more than 5,000 bank employees and their families there. This was reported in the press service of the PSB following the meeting, which was attended by the chairman of the bank, Peter Fradkov, and Governor Mikhail Evraev.
Thus, a strategy for the partial relocation of the bank's head office to the Yaroslavl region has been developed and approved, as well as a methodology for determining the units to relocate and a social welfare program. The plans for the coming years are to create an infrastructure to ensure the most comfortable conditions for employees to move. It is planned to build residential and office premises, as well as social facilities such as a kindergarten, a school, and a polyclinic.
In 2025, the network of PSB branches in the Yaroslavl region has doubled. The issue of salary cards has increased fourfold. Balances on deposits, savings accounts, and demand accounts opened by residents of the region increased by 30%. The deposit portfolio of entrepreneurs in the PSB increased by 142%.
The bank stressed that it considers one of its main tasks to promote the socio-economic development of the region. So, together with the government of the Yaroslavl Region, the bank is exploring the possibility of reconstructing the Shinnik stadium or building a new one on the site of the existing stadium.
"Last year, we did a tremendous job and laid the foundation for the transformations that PSB and the Yaroslavl Region will go through in the next 5 years. We will continue to strengthen our position in the region's banking market, as well as begin to create a comfortable working environment for our employees. It is also important for us to preserve and enhance what the region is so rich in. The legendary Shinnik Stadium is an important sports facility, and now it is entering a new stage of more than 70 years of life. In 2026, we will begin developing the concept of the future stadium and determine the highest priority model for the implementation of this project — through large-scale reconstruction or the construction of a new modern facility. The stadium will become a real home for FC Shinnik and its fans and will help them achieve new sporting heights, and for all citizens it will be a modern, comfortable and multifunctional public space for sports, recreation and mass events," said Petr Fradkov.
