- Russian universities will train personnel for a new cluster of rare metals in Siberia
The Russian University of Chemical Technology and the Siberian Federal University will begin designing joint training programs for an industrial cluster in the Angara-Yenisei region. This was reported in the press service of the Russian Security Council.
"Training personnel for the new technological order industry is a priority. Qualified young specialists <...> will become one of the pillars of Russia's technological sovereignty and the engine of our country's innovative development," said Alexander Maslennikov, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council.
The heads of universities agreed to create new programs within the framework of a working meeting held at the RCTU site with the participation of the Giredmet Institute. To implement this macro-project, a temporary interdepartmental working group has been established at the office of the Russian Security Council.
The training is planned to be launched by 2027. RHTU and SFU will combine best practices, powerful educational and scientific resources that allow these universities to annually strengthen the country's economy with highly qualified specialized personnel and innovative developments.
Earlier, on November 7, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu, took the initiative to create a satellite city of Sayanogorsk, which, according to him, could become a source of pride for Russian architects. He stressed that Sayanogorsk has significant potential for further development.
