Classical music and rock will merge in a new concert program by Vadim Samoilov and Agatha Christie. The cult group organizes a unique tour of the country called "Legend". It starts on January 25, and will be held in Moscow on February 28. On January 23, the project participants talked about its features.

The songs on which more than one generation grew up will receive a new sound in the style of symphonic rock.

"It's hard to believe, but some of Agatha Christie's hits have been around for almost four decades. They are known throughout the post-Soviet space, they are heard in movies, they confess their love. And now famous rock compositions are getting a new sound," said Ilya Anikeev, a correspondent for Izvestia.

The call of the brass trumpet, the crying of the violin, the thunder of the cello and the tenderness of the flute fill the already atmospheric music with mystical philosophy.

"It's not like rethinking the material and adding some kind of riot of colors, it's a return to historical justice, because Agatha Christie started out as a symphonic band, but then we performed all these orchestral parts on synthesizers. Now we're playing it all live with an orchestra," said Vadim Samoilov, a rock musician and founder of the band.

He is preparing for an all-Russian tour with the symphony orchestra.

"I have to say that all my favorite songs will be. Each performance with such artists is, of course, unique, because these are songs that we love, I've been a fan since childhood," said Leonid Butinsky, artistic director and conductor of the symphony Orchestra.

"Legend" is the name of a concert program that combines two powerful energies — a loose rock'n'roll and noble academic.

"All the songs of Agatha Christie feature a cello. Just as a melodic voice performs, so does a rhythmic texture, and a rather low bass instrument, it gives such a drive that is characteristic of rock music," said Irina Timashevskaya, an artist of the symphony orchestra.

The iconic rocker previously performed with an orchestra in Gatchina. It was a fiery evening of live symphonics. Now the musical experiment is gaining an all-Russian scale.

"This project includes not only the hits of Agatha Christie, but also my work from solo projects, and new songs that I show. This is a combined concert, and absolutely everything that I represent myself now is presented there," Samoilov said.

Rehearsals with musicians take place on the stage of Gorbunov Recreation Center. The walls of the legendary venue are saturated with rock'n'roll aesthetics.

"We practically grew up listening to these works, and therefore everything that is not played is practically every hit. "The Sailor" and "Two Ships" are probably the most popular and well—known," said Valentin Marin, an artist of the symphony Orchestra.

The geography of the tour with the symphony orchestra included dozens of cities. The first performance will take place on January 25 in Astrakhan. The "legend" is not the past, it is something that continues here and now.
