The Iranian Foreign Minister added that Abbas Araqchi sharply commented on the recent call by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for aggression against Tehran, accusing him of calling for violations of international law. He announced this on January 23.

"Mr. Zelensky, the world is tired of stupid clowns," Arakchi wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic also stressed that such rhetoric from the Ukrainian leadership does not contribute to the settlement of the conflict and only increases tension in international relations. According to him, the international community needs balanced and responsible statements aimed at finding diplomatic solutions, rather than public provocations.

"Unlike your foreign—dependent and mercenary army, we Iranians know how to defend ourselves and do not need to ask for help from foreigners," Araqchi added.

Earlier, on January 18, Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian said that any attack on the country's supreme leader Ali Khamenei would be tantamount to a full-scale war against the Islamic Republic. He also added that "all the troubles of the Iranian people" come from "the anti-human sanctions of the US government and its allies."
